CR contact Jean

  • Fiona – Hello, my name is Fiona and I am a community cardiac rehabilitation nurse. I am phoning to see how Jean is getting on since she got home from hospital and to arrange a suitable time to visit.
  • Hilary – I’m glad you have phoned. Mother says she is ok but I am worried about her coping on her own.
  • Fiona – Well I am planning to visit on Monday at 1.30pm. Do you think you will be able to be there, as I feel it would be useful to speak with you both?
  • Hilary – That will be fine. I look forward to having a chat with you then.

Pulse point

Carers gaining an understanding of cardiac rehabilitation and meeting with staff can be very useful in the early days if possible. It can clarify many aspects of recovery and activity leading to reduced misconceptions: If not possible, it can be useful to direct to information such as Chest, Heart & Stroke Scotland or British Heart Foundation.
