Does patient feel a sudden desire to pass urine and is unable to hold on? Urgency urinary incontinence (UUI)
When the patient has passed urine/opened their bowels, does s/he often feel like there is more to pass? Incomplete emptying
Does leakage occur when the patient coughs, sneezes or stands up? Stress urinary incontinence
Does sudden desire to void or leakage occur without warning when person moves, coughs, sneezes, stands up? Mixed urinary incontinence
Does the patient have to strain to move their bowels? Constipation
Does the patient have continuous faecal smearing but does not strain to move bowels? Incomplete emptying with loaded rectum
Does the patient have difficulty calling for help to go to the toilet? Functional urinary incontinence (FUI)
Does the patient need help to manage their clothing, personal hygiene and handwashing? Functional urinary incontinence (FUI)
