Occupational Therapist: “Isa has some dexterity problems. She is likely to find opening her containers or squeezing tablets out of foil/blister pack difficult.”

Ward pharmacist: “Isa must be motivated and be prepared to have frequent INR blood tests. And she will need to manage dose changes. In addition, Isa has told me that she doesn’t take her diuretic because her friend Effy takes those and “she’s never off the toilet”.”

Speech & Language Therapist: “Due to her aphasia, Isa has mild difficulties understanding spoken and written information. She may have problems understanding her medicine labels, patient information leaflets and the contents of her yellow warfarin diary.”
