Slide 1
‘We’ve noticed that you don’t seem your normal self since the weekend pass. Was everything OK, was there anything you could not manage?’ the therapist asks Les.
‘I’m not the man I was …’, replies Les.
‘Am I ever going to be able to have sex again?’ he thinks.
Slide 2
‘Do you mean not having full use of your arm to do things?’ enquires the therapist.
‘There are a few things I could not manage and I think there are things my wife does not want me to do …’, says Les.
He thinks to himself, ‘How can my wife find me attractive now?’
Slide 3
‘What is this about?’ thinks the therapist.
‘What do you mean, can you give me an example?’ she says.
‘My wife and I … we had a really good sex life before this stroke happened but I’m worried about what is going to happen now’, Les clarifies.
‘I’m never going to manage to have sex again, she thinks I’m too old now’, thinks Les.
Slide 4
‘Whoa, how can I deal with this, I don’t know enough about this …’ thinks the therapist.
