If the patient develops any complication of thrombolysis

  • Stop the Infusion
  • Seek urgent medical assistance
  • Increase frequency of monitoring

Anaphylactoid reactions:

  • Nebulised salbutamol
  • Intravenous hydrocortisone
  • Subcutaneous adrenaline
  • Airway management

Intracranial bleeding:

  • Urgent CT brain
  • Advice from neurosurgeon

Extracranial bleeding:

  • Fast intravenous infusion
  • Blood transfusion
  • Local compression on bleeding point
