Considerations for Connie’s hydration?

On each exercise click the ‘Check‘ button after you make your selection and then > to continue:

  • Nasogastric tube – this may be appropriate but there is another option which is more commonly used in the first instance
  • Prescription of intravenous (IV) / subcutaneous (S/C) fluids – this would be the most commonly used method in the first instance
  • Give teaspoons of thickened fluids – No, Connie is currently nil by mouth
  • Gastrostomy tube – No, this would be inappropriate at this stage
  • Give Connie a beaker with a straw – No, Connie is currently nil by mouth
