There is currently no evidence to support the duration and frequency of physiological monitoring but recommendations include:
Continuing to assess Jean using the ABCDE approach to identify signs of critical illness.
Monitoring vital signs and complete the National Early Warning Scores (e.g. NEWS 2) escalation protocols. It is important to adjust the frequency of the physiological observations following local protocols. (from Jevon. 2010).
