What does Charlie do?

Charlie, Ruby and the MDT meet to review her goals. Below are Charlie’s notes, have a look at the outcome of the review.

Ruby MDT notepad entry: see view text alternative button for details

Everybody, including Ruby, agrees that she has partially met one goal and has not managed to achieve the rest.

Ruby:

  • Remembers talking to Janet about her goals but can’t remember exactly what the goals are or what she was to do
  • Was unwell last week and spent a few days in bed, feeling better now but did have a few accidents at the toilet
  • Doesn’t recall getting the exercise sheet the physiotherapist was supposed to give her
  • Hasn’t been in the kitchen to make a cup of tea
  • Has achieved organising her clothes in the morning but is needing assistance of 2 staff to get dressed
  • Disappointed that she hasn’t achieved any of her other goals

MDT:

  • Janet Joint (physiotherapist & key worker) has just gone on honeymoon for three weeks and was struggling to get everything done before she went off
  • Mrs Graham doesn’t have an exercise sheet for the ward
  • Ruth Rail (occupational therapist) has been off sick for a week
  • Nobody in the team has a copy of the goals and so they aren’t sure what they are
  • Mrs Graham was quite unwell with a UTI, has just finished her antibiotics and taken a bit of time to get over it
  • The team feel they haven’t quite got to grips with her goals
