Confirmed diagnosis of new ischaemic stroke or TIA

Atrial fibrillation → Oral anticoagulation unless contraindication → Oral anticoagulation contraindicated → Antiplatelet therapy. Aspirin 300mg immediately. Substitute with clopidogrel 300mg if aspirin intolerant

Atrial fibrillation → Control tachycardia with rate control, e.g. B-blocker or digoxin

No Atrial fibrillation → Antiplatelet therapy. Aspirin 300mg immediately. Substitute with clopidogrel 300mg if aspirin intolerant
