- Based on weight and height (weight in kg/height in m2) it categorises risk as follows:
Healthy | 19 – 24.9 |
Overweight | 25 – 29.9 |
Obese | 30 – 39.9 |
Morbidly obese | over 40 |
- BMI may not always be a good indicator of body fat as muscular people may have a high BMI but not a high fat level.
