- Follow-up plan: A letter is sent to the GP following attendance at RACP detailing the findings at clinic, the plan for OP angiography and recommended drug therapy.
- Angiography: This investigation will demonstrate which of Marys coronary arteries are narrowed and how severely. The Cardiologist will then determine whether he considers angioplasty or medical therapy as the best treatment strategy for Mary.
- Primary Care Mental Health Service: Anxiety was perceived to be a precipitant of Angina for Mary and the GP will likely refer her to this service.
- Cardiac Rehabilitation: Mary could be considered for cardiac rehab this may only be available in some centres following angiography however if available, this may provide support and information to Mary whilst awaiting angiography.
