The firefighters continue resuscitation attempts.

The watch Manager takes Jill through to the living room.

Jill thought bubble: Why are there firefighters here? There’s not a fire! Why is there no ambulance?

Jill speech bubble: Where’s the ambulance? The lady on the phone said they were on their way!

WM thought bubble: Her Auntie does not look good.

WM speech Bubble: Hi Jill, I’m Steve, the Watch Manager. We were asked to come as we were the closest responders in the area. The paramedics are on their way. Please take a seat and tell me what you can.

Jill thought bubble: Auntie Rose looked so grey! What if I did something wrong? I wish I’d got here earlier.

Jill speech bubble: Did I do everything right? Will she be ok? I need to phone my Mum and let her know what’s happened.

Meanwhile in the kitchen:

Fire crew thought Bubble: I think she may have been collapsed for a while. Looks like she has other health issues. Should we be continuing CPR?

Fire crew speech Bubble: The defib says non-shockable but we’ll have to keep going with the CPR until paramedics advise us.
